Capture the Flag Campout
By Austin | April 14, 2010
April 16-18
The April campout is scheduled to be the Flour Bomb Campout but there hasn’t been any evidence that the flour bombs have been made; so the game is likely to become capture the flag. We have reserved all of Stripling Island at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch for this event. We will meet at the church at 6:00 on Friday and leave as soon as we are loaded. This will be a great weekend to unwind after the strenuous WW sequence.
Each patrol is responsible for its own food a food preparation, so it is very important to make sure that you make you commitments by Wednesday evening so that those who are responsible to purchase the food know how much to buy. Remember, if you commit to attend on Wednesday and change your mind after that, you need to pay for your part of the food.
So please contact the food purchaser and the SPL Nick Ronalder (817 366 8336;burocks92@yahoo.com). Remember, good communication means contacting Nick to tell him, “Yes, you are coming”, or “No, you are not coming”. Silence is not the same as “No”. Everyone should be in contact with Nick tonight!!!
There is no camping fee; however, you will need to pay for your share of the food. We will not stop on the trip home and we should be back to the church before 1:00 Sunday.
Scouts, please note: Scoutmasters are not aware of the rules of your game and cannot help in resolving rules violations. Please do not confuse us with questions about cheating. Apparently, because the grounds are an island, you were out of bounds, if you are wet. Other than that, we know nothing.

If you have any photos of the troop from any past events please e-mail the best ones to austin.best@gmail.com. Please include the name of the Event, the date (approximate year is good enough), and any pertinent information.
The website is back online, and we are looking for people to volunteer to update it’s information! The current webmaster is becoming too busy to operate this site alone and hopes someone with a little spare time would step forward. An update once a week or even once every two weeks would be great!
Contact Austin for further information if you are interested. No HTML or programming knowledge or experience required, it’s as easy as editing a Word document.
